Outline
In order to convert a hotel's banquet hall into a rental conference room, it was necessary to increase the number of power outlets that were previously only available on the walls, so the introduction of a raised access floor was considered.
Within this, there was a clear division between areas requiring power and passage areas that did not, so a raised access floor was used in the areas requiring power, and a flexible mat was used as a floor underlayment in other areas, which helped to keep implementation costs down.
If you need to add more power in the future, the Flexible Mat can easily be replaced with a Raised Access Floor.
- Although it was necessary to install a power and information outlet in the center of the room, there was no need to install wiring in other areas.
- It was necessary to reduce costs by using different Raised Access Floor mats depending on the purpose.
- Being a large hotel, fire prevention measures were highly required, and it was necessary to use a safe Raised Access Floor product that met semi-non-combustible material tests.

This highly durable, ultra-high-strength lightweight concrete underlayment is made of 50mm square blocks and conforms to uneven floor surfaces to prevent wobbling. It is lighter than poured concrete and can be used to raise the floor level by 40mm more quickly.
