Outline

The grass plaza on the roof of the school building, the green courtyard terrace, and the green fence are all controlled by a single sensor-based automatic irrigation system installed on the rooftop.
In addition, there is a 355m long road surrounding the school building.2The wire-type wall greening is also controlled by a single irrigation controller on a separate system.
The rooftop lawn plaza was designed with plants planted right up to the edge of the parapet, which meant that in addition to root resistance, problems were anticipated with rainwater drainage.
For this reason, the rooftop greening system was chosen to be Square Turf Light, which has high root resistance and easy drainage. The selection of plants was focused on ease of maintenance, with low-maintenance Zoysiagrass being used for the lawn. The abundant greenery around the school building gives the impression of a "three-dimensional forest."
