Flexible Mat

This versatile floor underlayment made from ultra-high strength lightweight concrete can be used for a variety of purposes with a free-thinking approach.

Flexible Mat is made from the same ultra-high-strength lightweight concrete as Network Floor, making it highly durable. Its structure, made up of small 50mm square blocks, allows it to conform to uneven floor surfaces and prevent wobbling. It is lighter than poured concrete, which requires a curing period, and can be quickly raised by 40mm.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  • Raised Access Floor for underfloor materials and small amounts of wiring

POINT 01Underfloor material & Raised Access Floor for small amounts of wiring

This convenient product can be used in a variety of situations, such as when you simply want to raise the floor or when you want to create space for a small amount of wiring. The Flexible Mat can be easily cut at 50mm intervals using a utility knife. If a small amount of wiring is required, you can combine it with the optional wiring channel to create a new wiring groove.

  • Laying method and uneven surface following structure

POINT 02Laying method and uneven surface following structure

The laying method does not require the use of screws or adhesives, making construction quick and easy when it comes to removing or changing the use of the tiles in the future.
The 50mm slits allow the product to conform to uneven floor surfaces, preventing wobbling and providing a comfortable walking experience.

  • High strength, 10-year warranty, earthquake-resistant fixing

    POINT 03High strength, 10-year warranty, earthquake-resistant fixing

The main material is ultra-high strength lightweight concrete.
This product has a high load-bearing capacity of 1,000 kgf (≒ 10,000 N)/50φ and comes with a 10-year warranty. Additionally, by passing anchor bolts for earthquake-resistant fixture fixing through the Flexible Mat, fixtures can be earthquake-resistant fixed to the slab.

  • Lightweight, 1/3 of concrete, and no curing required

POINT 04Lightweight, 1/3 of concrete, and no curing required

When comparing Flexible Mat construction with regular concrete pouring, Flexible Mat weighs approximately one-third as much. It also contributes to shortening construction time as it does not require the curing period required for regular concrete.

  • Easy to remove and return

POINT 05Easy to remove and relocate

This method of laying the mat does not require screws or adhesive fixation, so it is easy and economical to remove, relocate, and restore the mat to its original state when changing its use.

  • Environmentally friendly products

    POINT 06Environmentally friendly products

This is an eco-friendly product that can be recycled. The collected Flexible Mat is crushed at the manufacturing plant and reborn as a new product using recycled materials.

Case Studies

CASE STUDY

The Flexible Mat is a product with a wide range of possibilities depending on your ideas. Here are some examples of its use.

Examples of use as raising material

This system was adopted in anticipation of future changes to the warehouse due to the promotion of paperless systems and an increase in personnel. When changes are made, they can be accommodated by switching to Network Floor 40 or adding wiring grooves using wiring channels.

Other applications
Lobbies, elevator halls, corridors, bank waiting areas, etc.

Example of combining with Network Floor

This was adopted because it clearly defined the areas where wiring was not required and the areas where it was required.

Renovation example of a room with tatami flooring

A meeting room with 50mm tatami mats was remodeled to accommodate chairs by using flexible mats and carpet tiles.

Examples of use by space

USAGE EXAMPLE

Depending on the purpose and amount of wiring under the floor, you can respond flexibly by using either the Flexible Mat or the Raised Access Floor Network Floor 40.

A: Flexible Mat only
For rooms or areas where wiring is not required, such as exhibition rooms (wiring channels can accommodate small amounts of wiring)
B: Flexible Mat + Network Floor 40
For rooms and areas that require partial wiring, such as lobbies and lounges
C: Network floor 40 only
For rooms and areas where wiring is required, such as small to medium-sized offices for regular use
D: Network floor 40 + feed-in mat 40N
For rooms and areas with office functions that require a large amount of wiring
