The word "regatta" originates from the gondola races that originated in Venice, Italy.
It is generally a sport in which people compete against time using unpowered rowboats on the water.
In European countries, it is popular as a casual sport, and there seems to be a wonderful culture where enthusiasts enjoy it by the water and then communicate around the boathouses after dark.
KYODO KY-TEC will continue to support our para-athlete employees who are working hard in this regatta sport, both in their work and in their competitions, with a spirit of teamwork.

May 2026: Won the Shinmai Suwa Lake Regatta / Participated in the All Japan Masters Regatta
Jun Castro, who belongs to the Kanagawa Technical Center, participated in two competitions held in May.
At the 49th Shinmai Suwa Lake Regatta and the 27th National Knuckle Four Championships, I competed in the men's single sculls para rowing event and achieved a remarkable victory.
He also participated in the 17th All Japan Masters Regatta (Reconstruction Special Tournament) held in Ishikawa Prefecture, competing in the men's single sculls.

September 28, 2025: 5th place at the 30th Sagamihara Citizens Regatta "Sagamiko Cup"
Jun Castro, a member of the Kanagawa Technical Center, participated in the Knuckle Four 500m Rowing Race at the 30th Sagamihara Civic Regatta, the Sagamiko Cup, held on Sunday, September 28th, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the founding of Midori Ward. He took fifth place.
June 2025, 6: Winner of the 7th All Japan Masters Regatta!
Jun Castro, a member of the Kanagawa Technical Center, participated in the 6th All Japan Masters Regatta held on Saturday, June 7th, and won the Men's Single Sculls!
August 2024, 8: 25rd place at the 67th Lake Sagami Regatta!
Jun Castro, a member of the Kanagawa Technical Center, participated in the 8th Lake Sagami Regatta, held from August 24th (Sat) to 25th (Sun), as a member of the Kozaru team, and won third place in the Para-Rowing Coxswain Four category!
May 2024, 5: Winner of the 12th Shinmai Lake Suwa Regatta!
Jun Castro, an employee of our company, participated in the 5th Shinmai Lake Suwa Regatta, held from Saturday, May 11th to Sunday, May 12th, and won the championship. He finished the 47m in 2:1 in the men's single scull para-rowing event (one rower holds two sculls in each hand and competes for speed).
May 2023, 5: Winners of the 5th Asahi Regatta Para-Rowing Men's and Women's Knuckle Four!
An employee of our company participated as a member of the "Kozaru" team, and won the 500m in 2 minutes 32 seconds, beating the second place by a huge margin of 15 seconds. The race is run by a team of five people, with four rowers and one steerer. The employee has been devoting himself to the race for about 2 years, and is also scheduled to compete as part of a 15m team at the next "4th All Japan Masters Regatta" on June 1th.
