JECA FAIR 2026 Report: Now is the time to reduce costs with circular raised access floors amidst soaring construction costs.

We exhibited at "JECA FAIR 2026 (The 74th Electrical Construction Industry Exhibition)," which was held at Tokyo Big Sight for three days from May 27th to 29th, 2026.
The Floor Systems Division operates under the concept of "Circular Raised Access Floor that supports the future from the ground up,"
One of the major challenges currently facing the construction industry is,
• Rising construction costs
• Waste reduction and resource recycling
I proposed specific solutions to these two issues.
In this column, we will once again introduce the contents of our booth's exhibits.

Directly leads to cost reduction! The adoption of network floors is increasing.
No matter how excellent a product is, it won't be adopted if it doesn't offer cost advantages.
In that respect, the network floor is different from a typical raised access floor with adjustable support columns.
• Low price
- Dustproof coating is unnecessary (reduces painting costs)
There are advantages such as:
Furthermore, by reducing the height of the raised access floor, it becomes possible to compress the floor height, which leads to a reduction in the amount of steel and concrete used, and thus can be expected to reduce overall building costs.
Regarding the "constraints on the amount of wiring" that are a concern when introducing low-floor raised access floors, recent changes in the office environment have significantly lowered that hurdle.
- The spread of free addressing
• Progress in wireless LAN
- Decline in landline phone numbers
As a result, offices with a large amount of wired wiring are limited to specific uses, and the psychological barrier to adopting low-floor raised access floors is steadily decreasing.
What is the actual amount of wiring? A realistic simulation will be on display.
Do you know exactly how much wiring is hidden under the floor in a real office?
For this exhibition, we created a wiring simulation based on a standard layout, assuming an office of "300 square meters and 60 people (5 square meters per person)."
As a result,
・LAN wiring (Island HUB method): Approximately 9 wires
• Power lines (highest concentration): Approximately 24 lines
This was the assumption.
On the day,
- Height = 100mm adjustable raised access floor
• Network floor 40 (H=40mm)
Each system was fitted with 24 actual power lines for a comparative display.
as a result,
- H=100mm provides ample margin.
- It can be stored even at H=40mm.
We believe that by experiencing this firsthand, you have gained a deeper understanding that a low-floor raised access floor is not a problem.
Towards resource circulation through reuse and recycling
For further information, please read past columnsAs mentioned elsewhere, the network floor is a Raised Access Floor that has been implementing recycling since 1998 and reuse since 2004, and continues to build on its track record.
On the day of the event, we exhibited network floors in three forms: new products, reused products, and products made from recycled materials.
Furthermore, this product is a "long-life product" that has been in continuous use for a long period since its release in 1986.
The fact that it doesn't require new resources and can be reused repeatedly is a very important value in today's world where resource depletion is a concern.
We will also be holding product displays near you.
Since this exhibition was held in Tokyo, I imagine many people were unable to attend.
